Is your Church Practice Now Idolatry?

This teaching is in response to the concerns of a brother who has been in church meetings where the whole congregation is instructed to take off shoes, where anointed water is sprayed to induce demonic manifestation and ‘deliverance’ and where yearly candle night services are held.

These practices can have a biblical basis, and if done by the leading of the spirit can be holy, but they can easily turn into idolatry, and become the entrance point of demonic influence into the church.

This teaching aims to empower you with bible based tools, to discern if certain practices are idolatry.

The Dangers of Polygamy

Polygamy is not God’s intended structure for marriage. When God created the institution of marriage, that was in the garden of Eden. It was between One Man and One Woman. We shall look at the examples of Abraham and Solomon and see how God reveals the dangers of polygamy, and look at how the new testament reveals God’s true standard for marriage.

There are three things that sometimes get confused in Christian circles; Covenants, Promises and Vows.

UNDERSTANDING THE MIND OF CHRIST – PART 1 – To Die Is Gain

The church is about to enter into a season of persecution, which in a way is similar to what the early church went through at the beginning.

Just as Jesus faced two major threats to his life: The first one came from Herod just after his birth. He had to flee Jerusalem and go to Egypt for some years.

The second one came at the end of His earthly ministry, in his 30s, leading to his crucifixion. It is this second persecution that ushered him into His Glory.

The Body of Christ has a similar pathway. When the church was a baby, it faced a threat from the devil, which led the church to flee Jerusalem and go hide into the world. But as the church matures and nears its glorification, it must face another persecution, leading to its death, resurrection, ascension and glorification.

Does God Punish Children For The Sins Of Their Fathers?

Introduction

God declares to Ezekiel that he does not punish the fathers for their children’s sins, and does not punish the children for their fathers’ sins. Yet when we go through the bible, we encounter many scriptures where God himself seems to be punishing people for the sins of their fathers.

Is this a contradiction within God, or are we misunderstanding his ways?

There are two main principles that we shall look at

The Principle of Agreement
The Punishment of Sin vs the Consequence of Sin.

We shall then look at the verses that seem to contradict what God says to Ezekiel, and we shall see that they don’t contradict but actually affirm the principle that God punishes every man for their own wickedness. God does not punish the righteous along with the wicked.

WHAT IS THE TRUE GOSPEL?

As I finished the teaching on ANOTHER GOSPEL, a brother asked me the question, What is the True Gospel? This indeed is a crucial question. Considering that the bible says that if any man or even an angel from heaven comes and preaches ANOTHER gospel which is different from the one preached at the beginning, then that man must be accursed.

Christians and The Sabbath

Introduction

I am writing this presentation in response to a question asked by a brother from Paraguay.

The subject of the sabbath is very controversial and it has extremes on every side. On one end you have preachers who have made sabbath keeping a salvation issue, telling saints that if they break the sabbath they are sinning against God and will not enter heaven. This is wrong. On the other hand, we have preachers who say that the sabbath has no place in the life of a Christian and on yet another side, you have churches that keep their own Sunday sabbath.

Let us go into the scriptures to rightly divide the word of truth.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE DIE?

This teaching is extracted from a response I gave to a brother who was asking about the meaning of Abraham’s bosom. However, the teaching goes beyond Abraham’s bosom and teaches concerning the state of the dead before and after the death and resurrection of Christ.

CHRISTIANS AND ABRAHAM’S BOSOM

I am going to start this teaching by making some shocking statements and then we will prove them from the scriptures.

Abraham’s bosom is not for Christians, but for Jews who are born and die under the law. Christians who die, do not go to Abraham’s bosom. They go to be with Christ. Abraham’s bosom was not in heaven but it was actually in Sheol, which in Greek is Hades and the KJV calls it Hell. Christ released all the saints who were trapped in Abraham’s bosom and took them to heaven after the resurrection.

HOW TO DEAL WITH CURSES, WITCHCRAFT AND PERSISTENT DEMONIC ATTACKS

Introduction

Despite the many promises of the bible, many Christians are living as victims to curses, witchcraft and demonic attacks. They have gone for countless prayers, fasting and deliverance sessions with temporary relief.

In this teaching we shall focus mainly on curses and then look at how they work, how demons use them and how as Christians we can have lasting victory over curses, witchcraft and persistent demonic attacks.

I will share a testimony of how I was cursed by someone, and the lessons that God taught me afterwards.

The Serpent Seed

I would not normally have written a teaching on this subject, but I write this now in response to one of my readers on Let’s Talk Scriptures who sent me an email a few months ago, requesting that I explain this doctrine to her. She had encountered several people who were teaching her about the serpent seed, and wanted me to write and explain it from the bible.

I will start by explaining the basic tenets of the serpent seed doctrine, and then I will show from the scriptures why this doctrine is wrong and dangerous.
