Daniel 2:44-45 (WEB)
44 “In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, nor will its sovereignty be left to another people; but it will break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it will stand forever.
45 Because you saw that a stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God has made known to the king what will happen hereafter. The dream is certain, and its interpretation sure.”
In the days of those kings… The Lord Shall Set Up a Kingdom….
In The Days of the fourth Kingdom, the kingdom of Rome, God would set up a Kingdom. Listen to this.
Luke 3:1-3 (WEB)
1 Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene,
2 in the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John, the son of Zacharias, in the wilderness.
3 He came into all the region around the Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for remission of sins.
In the days of these kings God sent John with a message. What was that message.
Matthew 3:1-2 (WEB)
1 In those days, John the Baptizer came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, saying,
2 “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!”
God began to set up his kingdom.
I know people want to rush to go to the end time, great. We will go there but for now lets accept what has been fulfilled. The bible said in the days of these Kings the divided rulers of Rome a kingdom would be set up which would eventually bring down the whole structure.
The Message that John, Jesus and The apostles was that This Kingdom of the Messiah. .. was near…
Luke 10:11 (WEB) ‘Even the dust from your city that clings to us, we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that God’s Kingdom has come near to you.’
BUT THIS KINGDOM OF THE MESSIAH WAS NOT GOING TO BE ESTABLISHED THE WAY OTHER KONGDOMS WERE….
It was a Kingdom of Faith, a spiritual kingdom. He explains.
Luke 17:20-21 (WEB)
20 Being asked by the Pharisees when God’s Kingdom would come, he answered them, “God’s Kingdom doesn’t come with observation; 21 neither will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ for behold, God’s Kingdom is within you.”
HMMM. Its essential to understand the kingdom of God and How it works, then we will understand how the Rock (Jesus) cut without hands shall destroy all these other kingdoms…
1. This Kingdom does not come with observation.
If you’re waiting to see a time when the kingdom descends or appears you won’t. It is already here being established in the hearts of believers.
LISTEN TO THIS….
Colossians 1:12-13 (WEB)
12 giving thanks to the Father, who made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light; 13 who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love;
The saints have already been translated into this kingdom and the Rock has already shattered kings of the earth on the cross.
Colossians 2:15 (NKJV) Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
Matthew 28:18 (NKJV) And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
So What Now?
FROM CHRIST GOING FORWARD.
We are now in the time when the kingdom of Christ is being established and these Kingdoms of Satan are being broken. This is happening Spiritually. It necessitated therefore that there be another Revelation. Because when Daniel had his visions the truth about the Messiah was still sealed, because the Holy Spirit had not yet come to reveal it. After the Holy Spirit Comes… The Apostle John receives yet another Revelation to show How Christ will finally break the Kingdoms of Satan.
Now Remember these four kings ruled over Jerusalem and Israel. Jesus has established a Spiritual Israel who have been covered by his blood and can not be touched by the enemy. He has set up a Heavenly Jerusalem that is pure and undefiled. However in order to fulfil all prophecy he must in the end rule over a physical Israel and physical Jerusalem.
So let’s focus on that. First and Foremost, when their saviour was presented to them physical Israel despised and rejected him. They chose the Beast to continue as their King.
John 19:15 (NKJV) But they cried out, “Away with Him, away with Him! Crucify Him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar!”
As for physical Jerusalem Jesus gives his judgement.
Luke 13:34-35 (NKJV)
34 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing! 35 See! Your house is left to you desolate; and assuredly, I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ”
He will be back but only after they have accepted him. As for now he leaves it desolate. When asked concerning time he says:
Acts 1:6-7 (NKJV)
6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”
7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.
However, there was a set time to which the gentiles would have power over Jerusalem. The four kingdoms still had authority of Israel. This time is called the time of the gentiles Lets listen.
Luke 21:24 (NKJV) And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
